Andrea Olatunji is an award-winning Uruguayan author, illustrator, and educator with over 20 years of experience inspiring young learners through storytelling. Known for her vibrant collage art and bilingual books, her work celebrates diversity, creativity, and cultural connection. Andrea is the recipient of multiple international awards, including the International Latino Book Award and the International Book Award for Best Educational Book. She currently lives in the Dominican Republic, where she continues to write and create.

Andrea is the recipient of multiple international honors, including the International Latino Book Award and the International Book Award for Best Educational Book, as well as the KidsShelf Best Cover Award, recognizing both the educational value and artistic excellence of her work.
Her newest book, Candombe: Rhythm of Uruguay, offers a vibrant look at candombe, the most emblematic rhythm of her native country. This marks her first book published in Uruguay.
